Trusted Client from Becrypt is a winner at the Cabinet Office Innovation Launch Pad Event

Trusted Client received most interest from Government buyers

Trusted Client the secure remote working solution, from UK data security specialist Becrypt, received the most interest from the audience of Government buyers for its proven ability to drive better value for money for Government as part of the Cabinet Office’s Innovation Launch Pad scheme. Only ten finalists from a total of 351 entries were invited to present their proposals at a Product Surgery in Whitehall on 19 July.

Civil servants from across Government helped to choose the best proposals from all those submitted. On the day, Becrypt and Trusted Client received the most requests for further information. A reception at Downing Street followed the event.

Trusted Client enables employee remote working using re-purposed laptops, or alternatively home computers, removing the requirement for expensive laptops. This underpins both the Government property rationalisation programmes and flexible working initiatives. Trusted Client meets requisite Government security standards providing low cost, mobile access from unmanaged or re-purposed desktops or laptops without compromising data security.

Keith Ricketts, Head of Marketing at Becrypt said, “Since our inception Becrypt has been working with Government to save money through making remote and flexible working more secure. Part of Becrypt’s proposal was the fact that if Trusted Client was rolled out across local government, data extrapolated from local government operational deployments would save over £150 million annually. Simply by inserting the Trusted Client device into a USB port and re-booting, a secure environment is launched, providing a user interface, web browser, email access and standalone applications completely isolated from the host PC’s hard drive. Trusted Client is fully configurable to each organisation’s individual requirements.
