Becrypt Joins Forces with Leonardo Cyber to Expand Global Cyber Security Reach
Becrypt is pleased to announce its strategic acquisition by Leonardo, among the main global companies in aerospace, defence, and security (subject to regulatory approval). This acquisition marks a significant step in enhancing the UK’s cyber capabilities.
For more than two decades, Becrypt has been trusted to secure some of the nation’s most sensitive environments. Becoming part of Leonardo will provide the scale, reach, and investment needed to accelerate the development and delivery of its high‑assurance technologies at a time when the UK’s critical national infrastructure and government systems face increasing threat.
The acquisition enhances the next phase of Leonardo’s Zero Trust offering by integrating Becrypt’s advanced technologies with their existing cyber portfolio. It builds on Leonardo’s broader European cyber security growth, following recent partnerships and acquisitions that include:
- Arbit – Data Diode and Cross Domain Solutions
- Axiomatics – Attribute Based Access Control
- SSH Communications – Privileged Access Management and Post Quantum Encryption
