Purpose:
Solution design, pre-sales engagements, training and consultancy.
The individual will play a key role in the overall success of Becrypt. A primary responsibility is working closely with the stakeholders across the business including sales team, engineering and management to articulate the technical and business value for Becrypt’s new, innovative cross-domain solutions, and related products to prospective customers and partners as well as lead or support the creation of new product-based solutions. The role will require working with the customer or partners and internal stakeholders to collaboratively design and deliver solutions, supporting integration, evolving the technical relationship and providing training and professional services as required to ensure success, and where required, owning customer relationships.
The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and be comfortable managing senior stakeholder, technical and end user engagements. They must also be able to travel as needed to attend customer and partner meetings.
Principle duties:
• Provide technical leadership and industry expertise
• Provide thought leadership content to support marketing and sales activities
• Drive business development, technical evaluations, pilots and proof of concepts
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for new solution development
• Respond competitively to technical responses for RFIs/RFPs
• Deliver customised product demonstrations at customer/partner meetings and calls, and other marketing conferences and seminars
• Support prospective clients through the sales cycle by providing pre-sales technical support on all aspects of the product’s architecture design, integration, operation and use
• Escalate and manage technical issues through product management and engineering, in order to deliver deal closure and subsequent customer success
• Work with product management and product development teams on current and future client needs, providing input to product direction
• Engage, train and support Becrypt partners and customers in territory to expand sales coverage and drive market awareness
• Mutually agreed ad-hoc tasks
Essential Skills:
• Significant, successful experience as a Solutions architect or in a traditional Technical Pre-Sales role within the Cyber Security industry
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity architectural principles such as defence in depth, resilience, and integrated security operations with the ability to apply security principles to systems and enterprise system designs
• Proficient in Linux operating systems; good understanding of general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking and network security concepts
• Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate the best solution or practice
• Theoretical knowledge of cryptography and a working knowledge of both symmetric and asymmetric encryption
• Experience using Cloud platforms, ideally AWS and Azure
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
• Sharp troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
• Self-starter, able to self-manage and work effectively from a remote office or home
• Strategic thinker with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Demonstrable success of using initiative and creativity in the development of solutions for partners and customer
• Committed to continuous professional self-development
Highly Desirable:
• Knowledge of, or experience with, Cross Domain security gateways
• Experience working for or with HMG, Defence or other CNI sectors (in a technical role)
• Experience with Docker and micro-services orchestration technology
• Knowledge of, or experience with API’s and API Gateways
• SC\DV Clearance
• CISSP accreditation
• Membership of Institute of Information Security Professionals
