Purpose:
We are looking for a super-sharp Test Engineer to work in our Agile development teams. You will be working in a great atmosphere on stimulating projects with other talented test engineers.
We will need you to provide high quality testing services to the engineering team, working with other testers assigned to a project.
You will be working closely with developers and the product owner. Out testing work involves gaining a deep understanding of the product so that you can focus your testing activities.
Principle duties:
• Gain a deep technical understanding of the product you are testing to a developer level
• Working with developers, other testers and product experts, write effective and efficient tests
• Carry out both formally scripted and exploratory testing
• Actively participate in sprint planning and other project group activities
Essential Skills:
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Minimum three years’ experience working as a tester
• Demonstrable ability to write efficient and effective manual tests
• A strong interest in the technical side of information technology and software development
• Working knowledge of Ubuntu or other Linux distributions
• Use of defect tracking tools (Jira, Xray)
• Good understanding of API testing
• Basic networking knowledge
• Comfortable using command line tools
• Debug / troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal
• STEM degree or similar equivalent qualifications
Desirable:
• Basic understanding of API automation using python
