Security Operational Centre delivers cost effective, fully managed Becrypt security solutions for commercial and public sector customers

London, UK, 5 December 2012 Fujitsu has become the first partner to be awarded accreditation as a Managed Service Provider by Becrypt. The accreditation, which has been achieved by Fujitsu's Security Operational Centre (SOC), will enable the company to deliver Becrypt's End Point Protection (EPP) solutions to both commercial and public sector customers as a fully managed service in the UK. The accreditation further underlines Becrypt's status as a Strategic Partner within Fujitsu's wider customer solutions portfolio, and the two organisations' commitment to working together.

David Robinson, MBE, Director of Information Security, Fujitsu UK&I commented, "It is important for Fujitsu to continually review how we can better serve our customers in more effective ways, enabling us to pass efficiencies onto our customers and be more competitive. Becrypt's End Point Protection platform, which is also used throughout Fujitsu, is a significant part of the security solutions portfolio that we offer to our customers, both to large commercial organsiations as well as the public sector. This new accreditation as a Becrypt Managed Service Provider will enable us to streamline our customer delivery processes and develop our Security Operation Centre as a centre of expertise to manage customer security solutions more efficiently."

Fujitsu's SOC will manage security solutions for customers with a wide range of information assurance requirements. As an accredited delivery partner, the SOC team will be able to provide a more efficient service to its customers with centralised expertise of security solutions. Contract-specific requirements for end point protection across a customer's entire estate - PC/laptop/tablet/handheld devices - can be managed centrally by the team, benefiting from shared practices and existing technical knowledge.

Bernard Parsons, CEO of Becrypt said; "Fujitsu is a long established Becrypt partner that provides security solutions to customers with wide ranging data protection requirements. As the first accreditation of its kind, this recognises Fujitsu's commitment to Becrypt's End Point Protection solutions as a strategic security product within its portfolio. Through closer partnership working we can support Fujitsu with timely technical support and advice to help service customers more efficiently."

Becrypt End Point Protection provides a fully integrated package of cyber security solutions that protect commercial and sensitive data held on PCs, laptops, tablets, USB devices, CDs/DVDs and other media with powerful encryption. Becrypt's comprehensive management suite also enables organisations to manage security covering the entire computing estate centrally, saving time and providing a more secure environment.
